Karen is a professional architectural and freelance photographer from Penn Valley, California. Her publications include, "The House That Jill Built," a collaborative effort with fellow Buddhist practitioner, Judy Ostrow; and "John of God: The Brazilian Healer Who's Touched the Lives of Millions," co-authored with Heather Cumming. Karen travels the world taking photographic journeys to temples and sacred sites in Nepal, India, South and North America, meeting and studying with such Masters as His Holiness Penor Rinpoche, Urgyen Tulku Rinpoche and Chogyal Namkhai Norbu. From these experiences, she gives passionate photo-talks on the universal living Spirit energy. While Karen specializes in Architectural photography, her portfolio provides an array of sacred art photographs from her travels around the world, to her encounters with nature and animal life. She continually captures the essence in all that she witnesses and invites you to view her portfolio to take a glimpse at the world through her lens.
